
Ralph Greenleaf, a billiards enthusiast, has quickly become one of America's top players despite only starting a few years ago. He has been to three different cushion billiards tournaments. He also placed in the top 10 of the Illinois 3-cushion Billiards Tournament last month. He has also been visiting a local billiards club in the Twin Cities every month.
Two of the most highly ranked billiards players in Vietnam are Tran Quyet Chien and Nguyen Quyet Nguyen. These two players are among the top ten in the world. Both players currently rank in the top 8, with Tran Quyetchien at number 7. Both players are the tournament's defending champions. Ngo Dinh Nai is ranked 29. Jeremy Bury from France ranks number 18.
On December 20-22, the 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Continental Cup in Vietnam will take place. The tournament will be attended by eight top Vietnamese players. The prize money total will amount to approximately 160,000 USD. The tournament will not be the only event. There will also be other events throughout each year.

The United States Billiard Association or USBA is the official governing authority for carom pool in the United States. The National Championship is the culmination of a series of events that are organized by the USBA. The USA will be represented at the Pan-American Championship by the top two National Championship players.
The three tournaments of cushion billiards at Madison 3-Cushion Billiards club were highly competitive and closely contested. The tournament featured two flights with six players each. The tournament was handicapped so only the top five players from each flight reached the semi-finals. The top 12 players in each flight will receive $7,000. Bruce Venzke, a cue game legend, was the tournament director.
The UMB (Union of Billiards and Carom Billiards) sponsored the tournament. This is the official governing body of 3-cushion billiards around the world. UMB organizes several recurring tournaments every year. On the UMB Turnier Schedule, you will find information about upcoming events.
This tournament was held south of Binh Duong. Eight teams battled each other over three nights. The semi-finals are decided by the top 2 teams. The quarterfinals are decided by the 3rd and 4th teams. Single elimination will be the final round. The winner of the Las Vegas World Cup 3-cushion billiards tournament will win a cash prize of $20,000. This is the first time the Vietnamese have sent a representative to the semi-finals.

Although the 3-Cushion Billiards Tournament may be a new game, it has gained popularity in many countries. It was also featured on the animated Disney short film Donald, Mathmagic land. In addition, it was featured in the 2007 Goya Award-winning Spanish film Seven Billiard Tables.
