Cutthroat pool, which can be played by up to five people, is a fun and entertaining game. It is similar to 8-ball pool in that each player receives a set of balls and has to pocket the opponent's ball. However, there are some rules that are slightly different to 8-ball pool.
The game involves players deciding when and how many shots to take, as well as dividing the balls into groups. Each group consists of five numbers, ranging from 1 through 5. The first player to make a ball chooses a set of balls to shoot for and the rest of the players can start shooting once that player has made the first shot.
When playing cutthroat, the cue ball must remain between the head cushion (or the table rail) and the cue ball. A foul occurs when a player accidentally flings the cueball on the table. A foul is when a player jumps on the cue ball accidentally and they lose their turn.

Cutthroat is played using a triangular-shaped rack. A player will usually place one ball in front of him, and the other balls are placed at the corners of the triangle. Depending on how many players are in the game, the other corners may also be racked. Players should plan ahead how they will call their shots to avoid a chaotic break.
In most cases, each player will call their shots in turn. They can only stop if there is a foul, miss, or mishap. There are several rules that determine how balls should be spotted. The object ball must be on the rail if a ball is spotted that has the shooter's shot on it. This increases the odds of the shooter scoring and makes chasing the ball more difficult.
Cutthroat has no draw. If the shooter's ball and the opponent's make contact with the rail, it is called a draw. Cutthroat has no draw. Players will settle for a group if there is no contact.
Cutthroat is fast-paced and requires players to shoot constantly. Cutthroat's primary goal is to be the last remaining player. When this goal has been achieved, the player wins.
