
The World Trick Shot Championship is the world's championship of trick shot billiards. It was held on snooker tables for the first time in 1991. Matchroom Sport organised the event. The competition was organized by Matchroom Sports. In 2005, the competition was held at Celtic Manor.
Many professional billiards players from around the world began performing tricks shots in the 1970s. These players were awarded prizes such as the World Championship of Artistic Pool and the International Challenge Cup. Today trick shot is a sanctioned form of pool by the World Pool-Billiard Society. Other than participating in tournaments as trick shot artists, they also teach other people the sport.
Mike Massey has been a world-famous trick shot artist since the late 1970s. He has played many games with sports celebrities, such as Jason Gedrick and Paul Sorvino. Massey is also a prominent figure in the sport, both as an instructor and fund raiser. His performances at Wentworth's Waste Management Pheonix Open as well as the Volvo PGA At Wentworth has earned him a high level of visibility.

Mike Massey is a teacher of many professionals in the field, including Scott Baiin (Dean Cain) and James Tolkan. He has been a member and winner of several professional international competitions. The team also performed at the HSBC Championships Abu Dhabi and the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
Jim Sommer is another talented trick shot artist. He has participated at many international Trick-shot turning competitions and has also traveled all over the United States to compete for the US Nationals. He won the US Nationals Artistic Pool Championship.
The World Trick Shot Artists Association of (WTSAA), a group that includes trick shot artists from all parts of the globe, is called the World Trick Shot Artists Association. Paul Gerni is the organizer of the association. There are 160 tricks in the WTSAA book. Some of these tricks include the machine gun shot, the "kick" shot, and the quick-fire shot. The "pro" shot and "extreme cut shots are just a few of the trick shots.
Tim "The Dragon", Chin (2022 US Nationals Artistic Pool Champion), won the prestigious title defeating Jason Lynch (The Michigan Kid) in the finals. Both Lynch and Chin are WPA World Ranked. Lynch is still in school at Ohio State, but Chin is a more experienced professional.

On October 9-10, Trick Shot Magic will host its next event. Eight international stars will compete in this competition. They will compete for a prize of $40,000. Each player will have six to ten choices. Each player will get three chances at completing the shot once they have chosen their favorites. A point will be awarded to the player who completes a successful shot.
Geoff McIlroy is the most famous trick shot artist. He became inspired to play trick shots after watching Noel Hunt. Although he has fallen off ladders and met people he never expected to meet, he has never stopped trying.
