Ralph Greenleaf is a passionate billiards player who started playing just a few years back. He has already taken part in some three cushion billiards tournaments and has placed in the top 10 at the national 3-cushion billiards tournament in Illinois last month. He has been regularly visiting the Twin Cities billiards club each month.
Nguyen Queyet Nguyen, Tran Quyetchien, and Tran Qyet Nguyen are the top ranked billiards gamers in Vietnam. These two players are among the top ten in the world. Both players are currently in the top eight with Tran Qyet Chien at number seven. Both players are the tournament's champions. Ngo Dinh Nai is ranked number 29, Jeremy Bury of France is ranked 18
The next tournament to be held in Vietnam will be the 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Continental Cup on December 20-22 in Seoul. The tournament will feature eight top Vietnamese players. The total prize pool will be approximately 160,000 US dollars. Other events and tournaments will be held throughout year.
The United States Billiard Association or USBA is the official governing authority for carom pool in the United States. Each year, the National Championship culminates in a series events organized by The USBA. The USA will represent the USA at Pan-American Championship as the National Championship's top two players.
The three cushion billiards competitions held at Madison 3-Cushion were intensely competitive and hotly contested. The tournament featured two flights with six players each. The tournament was handicapped. This meant that the semi-finals were reached by the first five participants in each flight. $7,400 will be awarded to the top 12 players. The tournament was sponsored by First Business Bank of Madison and the tournament director was Bruce Venzke, the famous cue games legend.

This tournament was held on the southern province of Binh Duong. The tournament featured eight teams that battled over three days. The top two teams progress to the semi-finals while the third and forth teams move on to the quarterfinals. The final round of the tournament will be single elimination. The Las Vegas World Cup 3-cushion Billiobilliards Tournament winner will receive a cash award of $20,000. This is the first time the Vietnamese have sent a representative to the semi-finals.
Although the 3-Cushion Billiards Tournament may be a new game, it has gained popularity in many countries. It was also featured on the animated Disney short film Donald, Mathmagic land. It was also featured on the 2007 Goya Award-winning Spanish film Seven Billiard Tables.
