It is important to be able and confident in your pool shots. It can mean the difference between winning and falling. There are many different shots and each has its own rules. You can't just hit the ball, though. You must hit the ball hard. The more you hit it, the better the chance it will pocket.
A stun shot refers to a shot that requires a strong hit. This is a shot that requires a strong hit in pool. This is often accomplished by lifting the butt end or putting an oblique jack.
A "break", also known as a shot, is one made at the last OOB of a straight swimming pool game. There are several types of break shots. Some are for getting out of trouble while others make it easier to score. One example is the golden break or the golden pocket.
Another option is to break-out or break-out. This type of shot is a good way to score a quick shot when the ball cluster is out of position. If you're lucky, your shot will jar up your opponent and put him in a bad spot. A good hit can often result in an OB that's still on the table. This makes it more difficult to knock the ball off.

A "break" isn't the only way to win. These are just a few of the other options.
Grade "A" shot is one that is highly likely to succeed. An example: A hit that is good will first strike the OB, and then a second hit may be able to pocket the OB.
Fancy shot is a skill that requires practice and a few props. This is a short, punchy stroke called a "J". Contrary to a jab stroke a "J” stroke is curved much like a pendulum. A "jelly roll", which is similar to a jab stroke, is a cue ball roll that is particularly beneficial for the shooter.
Fancy-looking. Another term for a fancy-looking shot, is a "flight." A flight is a fancy-looking shot that isn't necessarily the most accurate, but it is the most impressive. A flight is usually a low-percentage shot such as a top/bottom spin, or a flyer.
Stun shot: While a stun shot may not be as glamorous as other types of shots, it's actually pretty important. It's a good idea if you have it. Otherwise, your opponent could easily steal a win.

There are also other names for stun shots: the jelly roll and the grade B shot. Which one is the most important?
A pool nip is a good idea. This keeps the CB's from jumping off the table. A nip strike is more complex because the follow-through is minimal.
