How to play on a Pool Table

pools rules

There are many different pool table game options. There are three types of pool table games: cut-throat and bowlliards. Each of these games requires a cueball. When the cue ball hits the pocket, it either falls into the pocket or jumps off the table, causing the player to lose a turn.

Bowlliards

The table that is used to play pool is called the billiard table. It is a bounded-table that is raised off the ground to allow for the cue ball. It is often made from quarried, slate. The table is covered in a cloth and surrounded by vulcanized rubber pillows.

Cut-Throat

Cut-Throat is a form of foul on a pool table that requires the use the cueball to foul another player. This is similar as other fouls, such as taking the cueball and jumping off the table. However, there are some key differences in cut-throat. First, any players fouling each other must call for the ball before they can shoot it. The reason is that if a player fails to call the ball, it is returned to the table and doesn't count towards points.

One-Pocket Poot Pool

One-Pocket Pool is an easy pool game that only requires a pool table, and a number of pool ball sets. The object of the game is to get the numbered balls into the designated pockets. Object balls can also be used. The first player to pot every ball into his/her designated pocket wins the game. A player who fouls 3 times in a row is out of the game.

Straight Pool

Straight Pool is an abacus game where you use a cue. The objective is to pot as many billiard balls as possible without fouling. Straight pool can also be known as rack or continuous pool.

Cut-Throat is the most popular game on a pool table

Cut-Throat pool is a game with three to five players. The objective is to eliminate other players by getting their balls back and become the last player standing. This game is also known as elimination pool. Each player has a limited number of balls. Each player takes turns trying and putting a ball in their pocket. The winner is the person who is left standing.

A pocket for unintended balls

Unintended balls are important to keep in your pocket while playing pool. The eight-ball must be kept in your pocket. If you pocket the 8 ball before the deadline, it will lead to a forfeiture of the game. The 8 ball is black in color.
