BCA is also a body of governing bodies that are responsible for overseeing the specifications and rules of tournaments. BCA has a significant role in the sanctioning of tournaments. It also offers education resources and leadership opportunities that promote the game and pool.
The BCA has played a large role in the promotion of the game of pool, and has been a prominent organizer of billiard sports in the United States for more than a century. The Official Rules and Records Book (or Official Rules and Records Book) is one of the many activities that the organization has undertaken. Billiard Congress of America Official Rules and Records Book also remains in the BCA. It has rules for all games of billiards, including nine-ball. It also has a book that includes rules that apply to games that aren't subject to international competition.
While not as focused as the APA on league play (the BCA), it is one of largest supporters of the sport. It offers leadership opportunities, educational resources and referral services.
