Pool is a highly competitive game unlike most other billiards. It is loved all over the globe. There are many variations of the game in the USA. However, the most popular versions are the eight ball and nine ball pool. The pool matches are played over multiple games with the winner being declared after a set number of frames. The winner usually gets 61 points. Different winning numbers can be given handicaps.
The primary objective of the game is for all balls to be pounded to be potted. Each ball pounded counts for 1 point. All additional balls pounded are worth 1 point. Usually, a player wins if they pocket the eight ball first. A player loses the game if they don't get the eight ball. If the eight-ball is lost during a foul the other balls are taken and spotted. However, the foul doesn't count towards your points. The foul is not counted towards the points if a player commits more than one foul in a row.

The balls can be divided into three sets: striped or solid balls, object balls, and striped ones. They are generally smaller than American-style balls. They also come in a variety color options, including dark violets (for the four and twelve) Although they were originally all red, object balls are multi-colored nowadays. They can be made of a variety materials including wood, fibreglass and carbon fiber. Common ball diameters include 2+1/16", 2" and 3".
The object of this game is to find the black eight ball. The player must keep track of all the balls he has been assigned to pound. However, he must ensure that every ball that is not in his pocket is spotted and placed in the right lines to the footrail. Then, the balls that have pocketed are placed back on the table, and the player who pocketed the eight ball is able to decide whether he wants to keep playing or if he wants to give his opponent a chance to continue the game.
By placing the ball as close as possible to the spot where it will be called, a player can pocket the ball without fouling. Fouls must not be committed during the shot. All other balls must be placed in line with the foot spot. A foul does not count towards points. However, a player will be awarded a free shot. The foul can be played with any ball.

When a player hits a shot they must put the ball in their own bag. The balls in the front row and the middle of the table must be hit first. If a foul is committed prior to a ball being pocketed, the ball must be re-pocketed. The player may pocket any other balls in addition to the ball in the front row.
