
Shaun Murphy has a reputation for being a top-tier snooker player. His long potting and straight cue play are what make him a great player. In his career, he has been able to achieve over 400 century breaks. This includes the second highest break in the Championship League for 2014.
At the beginning of 2008/2009, Murphy was ranked third in the world. Murphy dropped to number seven for 2010/2011. In 2011 he won the Players Tour Championship and completed his career Triple Crown. It was a shock win for Murphy, as he was considered to be a big underdog. He then reached the finals at the UK Championship in 2012. But he was beaten by the eventual winner Judd Trump.
Murphy is a skilled player who has won many firsts during his career. Among these are his first 147 break, his first ranking title, and his first World Snooker Championship appearance.
He began his career with the Challenge Tour, also called the UK Tour, back in 1998. Tony, his father was a professional golfer. He was bullied in school as a teenager. He went to homeschooling classes but didn't see his mother until he was 19. Elaine, his mother, met him a year later. The couple were married in June 2006. They were married in 2014 despite his family's concerns.

Shaun has won more than PS3,000,000 in prize money during his career. He has won seven other tournaments. He has also participated in eight tournaments that rank him, reaching the quarterfinals for two.
He was ranked no. 4 in the world at the start of 2004/2005 season. He also won both the Brugge Open (Welsh Open) and the Brugge Open. By this time, he had been diagnosed with Savant Syndrome, a condition in which a person with autism has superior skills.
He won the World Championship in 2005. The next year he was named Sportsman of the Year by the BBC. He then became a San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital, California surgical resident.
Murphy was an awkward young boy who struggled to communicate with other people. Murphy may have had a poor social life because of this. He has been in many difficult romantic relationships but has managed to overcome them all. Elaine, his girlfriend from one of his matches, was even proposing to him in a restaurant in Ireland.
Ray Reardon coached him when he turned 15 years old. After Ray Reardon, he worked for Steve Prest until 2006. Willie Thorne was his coach for the 2007/2008 season. Throughout that season, he won the Challenge Tour's third and fourth events.

Murphy won in China the Wuxi Classic. Afterwards, he entered the elite top 16. His next appearance was the inaugural Northern Ireland Trophy. Despite having the tournament's shortest qualifying round of only five frames, he reached the quarterfinals and beat teenager Luca Brecel.
He went on to win the German Masters and the Ruhr Championship as well as the inaugural Northern Ireland Trophy. He was ranked third for the entire 2008/2009 year. During that same season, he reached the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters and the UK Championship.
